Camera Reviews

Choose from a number of reviews of digital cameras from various manufacturers. The emphasis of this site is on review links and information for the SLR (Single-lens reflex) type of digital camera, which is the tool of choice for professionals and serious hobbyists. The SLR allows for changes of lens and adjustment of an incredible number of photo settings to achieve as much customisation as possible, essential when trying to get that 'unique' look to your photos.
Casual camera users have certainly not been forgotten, however, and there are also several review links for the type of digital camera used by those for whom photography is an occasional indulgence. For example, the Nikon Coolpix series of camera provides reliably good quality but at a far more affordable price than the Nikon brand of SLRs.

Lens Reviews

For obvious reasons the lens review pages are only aimed at those who own a digital SLR camera, as compact point-and-shoot cameras do not feature interchangeable lenses. The lenses featured range from the budget Tamron brand up to the most expensive Canon telephoto and zoom with vibration reduction types.

Tripod and Monopod Reviews

For the time being the only equipment with reviews and information will be the tripods and monopods produced by Velbon and Manfrotto, these being the most obvious accessories most people will turn to after purchasing their camera. If there is a demand for other links and information, this may be provided in the future.
